Welcome to the 2013 CACTUS CLASSIC INVITATIONAL!
Welcome to the website for the 2013 Cactus Classic Invitational, a national invitational volleyball tournament held at the Tucson Convention Center - home of the 2011 USA Volleyball High Performance Championships Tournament. Over 100 club volleyball teams from Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, and Sonora, Mexico are scheduled to complete under one roof January 19-21, 2013 in Tucson, Arizona.
The Cactus Classic Invitational is an official USA Volleyball sanctioned event by the Arizona Region.

The 2013 Cactus Classic Invitational is a RANKING TOURNAMENT for USA Volleyball's new club/team Ranking System.
Teams now have the opportunity to improve their seed at future USAV events!

The 2013 Cactus Classic Invitational is an officially sanctioned event by the Arizona Region of USA Volleyball.

AES is the the website of choice for the USAV JNC Girls Championships and many other USAV qualifiers. In addition, the AES database will allow club directors to easily import team and player information from the USAV WebPoint database.

Hosted by Club Cactus Volleyball Association, the 2013 Cactus Classic Invitational will be held January 19-21, 2013 at the Tucson Convention Center in Tucson, Arizona.
The main objective of the Cactus Classic is to provide a high quality, competitive event giving athletes the opportunity to play in a major three-day convention center tournament to kick-off the 2013 club season. The format includes two rounds of pool-play on Saturday and Sunday, followed by two play-off matches on Monday. All teams will be scheduled to compete in 8 matches during the weekend.
The Cactus Classic is an USAV RANKING TOURNAMENT
DECEMBER 1, 2011: Club Cactus Volleyball Association is pleased to announce that the 2012 Cactus Classic has joined with USA Volleyball to be a RANKING TOURNAMENT for USAV's new club/team ranking system. The new club team ranking will help rank region teams and seed for USAV national qualifiers as well as nationals. Teams participating in the Cactus Classic have the opportunity to improve their rank/seed for future USAV events!

The 2012 Cactus Classic Dates announced
AUGUST 1, 2011: The Tucson Convention Center will again be the host site for the 2011 Cactus Classic Invitational. All teams will begin play on Saturday, January 14, 2012. The format will continue to be a three-day tournament for the 18's, 16's, and 14's teams. The 12-and-under division will be two-day event. The entry fee will be the same as last year at $650 per team if paid by December 31.

...just wanted to let you know how AMAZINGLY IMPROVED this year's event was to previous years. We were blown away by the ease of access, the closeness in proximity to the freeway and hotels, the cleanliness and upkeep of the convention center and the wonderful view and seating for each court. Wow, soooo much better than before. We, as a team, hope that you can "book" the convention center again next year!Thank you again for a great weekend!

The Cactus Classic was wonderful! So well organized and fun for the girls. The TCC was the perfect venue as well! Beautiful courts, nice area for spectators, clean, good snack bar--all around a wonderful place to spend the day. Thank you for putting on a great tournament! 12's Tournament
What a great idea to expand the 12's tournament to two-days. At first, I was skeptical thinking they couldn't last and the thought of keeping them out-of-town made me question the change. However, the girls LOVED the hotel stay and being in the convention center with the older girls. They improved over the two days by playing more matches and got excited playing in a 'real playoff' for the tournament. Thanks again for creating a great event.
